Tungsten Lanthanum / Tungsten Lanthanide Properties and Appearance
Tungsten Lanthanum Alloy (W-La) is also known as Lanthanum Oxide-Doped Tungsten and Tungsten Lanthanide, Tungsten Lanthanum comprises tungsten metal together with a small quantity <=2% of Lanthanum Oxide La₂O₃. The result is improved creep resistance and increased recrystallization temperature. Tungsten Lanthanum machines better than pure tungsten. Its useful properties include a high melting point, high thermal stability, good electrical / thermal conductivity and a low thermal expansion coefficient.
